Sensitivity was built upon the sound of the Buchla modular synthesiser, recorded at EMS Elektronmusikstudion in Stockholm, Sweden in June 2014. The album features both raw analogue and digitally transformed sounds which were combined to make music that goes beyond the Buchla’s constraints while still evoking its unique sonic character.

These 8 tracks (totalling 72 minutes) are available on CD from Earthrid and as a free / pay-what-you-like download from Bandcamp.

The sole release by the duo Audio Space Research (the late Eve Thacker of Evematic and Kevin Busby of Carya Amara, Abominations of Yondo etc.) is now available as a free download (the CD edition remains available).

Download Signals through the Static from Bandcamp

Signals through the Static presents synthesiser improvisations (with no overdubbing) in sessions recorded in 1995 and 1997. The result is a hazardous space experience that will take you on a bumpy ride through unknown systems.

The sessions were recorded direct to cassette in Eve’s studio. Occasional clicks, crunches and atmospherics due to experimental signal paths are unavoidable side-effects of the recording processes.

Carya Amara’s retrospective of music from 1980 – 1991, Tales of the Unattractive, is now a free download via Bandcamp.

Synthesiser melodies, lo-fi experiments with record players and warped organ drones set the course for Carya Amara’s rejection of musical categories, and paved the way for the music in the companion volume, Extinction Frequency.
