Earthrid releases unusual electronic music, without pursuing any genre—but most of its output could be labelled as being in some sense “experimental“ or “dark ambient“ and the like, but with eccentric twists.
The label was established in 2001 to promote the work of selected artists independently and without compromising to markets or expectations.
Earthrid has always had an infrequent release schedule, is not a traditional record label and is not part of the “record industry”. We are happiest doing what we can in our own unique way.
We have put music out on CD in the past (where else?) and had some very limited specialist distribution, but these days Earthrid's new releases appear as downloads on platforms such as Bandcamp.
